BE CAREFUL and know where your money is going. The salesman tried to charge a higher sales tax than applicable to my jurisdiction.
When I requested an itemized invoice showing taxable materials and non-taxable labor THEY REFUSED. The lack of transparency makes me question their business practices.
The residential siding installation was generally satisfactory, presumably by subcontractors, and a couple of issues were resolved. A company representative DID NOT contact me for a final inspection upon completion of the job.

Everything was great about my experience until the end of my business with 1st choice. Our door was installed the first week of January and that is when we paid the second deposit. A month goes by then they cashed the check. We had switched bank accounts by that point and had not realized that the check was still outstanding. We received a not very nice email from their office manager saying we now would owe their $12 return check fee. I called frustrated about this as I don’t think cashing a check 4 weeks after it is written is a good practice and I was told “we’ll the owner doesn’t go to the bank everyday.” If that is the case then a little bit of warning would have been appreciated at the time the check was written.
UPDATE: It’s great getting the passive aggressive response from the “owner” but I have not heard from anyone whether the check I mailed two weeks ago was even received. It has still not been cashed and no one has let me know any status on it even though I emailed saying it was in the mail. Hopefully it will be cashed before March and I’ll be able to close out this bank account.
